After a couple of days heavy rain, and constant rain all of Saturday morning, the pitch was in good condition for this 2nd round Chairman’s Cup tie.

Westbury Tigers playing in their away kit of white tops, welcomed back Adam and Ewan from injury, but lost Luca, with Kian and Alfie still sidelined.

The Tigers won the all important toss and played with the strong wind behind them.

8mins: GOAL 1-0: SAM – Reece flick for Sam to get behind the E&W defence and coolly side foot the ball past the static keeper
34mins: GOAL 2-0: REECE- A patient build up saw the ball out wide to Ewan who crossed over, Harry at the far post pulled the ball back for Reece who slotted the ball home

Half Time: 2-0

62mins: GOAL 2-1: Long range shot, completely against the run of play
66mins: GOAL 3-1: REECE – Kenzie with a cross from the right wing, Reece chest control and calm finish to restore the Tigers two goal advantage

Full Time: 3-1

Man of the Match: Jack Yates

Managers Comments: Recent performances have not produced the results the team deserved so it was good to get the win with an all round team performance. The Tigers style of playing the ball on the floor helped reduce the impact of playing into the the wind in the second half. The team shape was spot on and three coolly taken goals. A very good mornings effort.
